A product that has been in development for the last 18 months is nearing production. The precast concrete fence posts developed by Prairie Hill answer the problems that have always plagued fencing , posts just don’t last.
Arguably the most durable fence post, Osage orange, otherwise known a Hedge, is still in wide use in areas like Missouri where it is still available. For the most part however, hedge posts are no longer commercially available.
Prairie Hill Precast fence posts are initially available individually to be integrated into fencing projects as replacement for treated posts. As we continue to develop the product, we will be offering a complete fencing solution.
Equine fences are the first target market for the new Prairie Hill Precast fence posts. The posts are cast in molds and have integral wire guides lined with PVC so that one or more of the wires can be electrified to discourage rubbing. However, the fence doesn’t entirely rely on electricity to contain livestock and is considered permanent.
The posts are smooth and with the wire contained within the post there are no protruding staples or wire ends to cause injury to livestock.
